Apply the urban analysis and design methods of Gehl archictects and refine them to remake Seattle’s alleys as an extension of the public realm as urban density increases.

Protection | Create sight lines through the alleys and increase ground-level transparency
Invitation | shelter pedestrians from rain with colonnades, increase daylight by
reducing building height along alley
Delight | Use alleys to increase Seattle’s greenspace and as a means to keep stormwater on site
