Create a place where the public can learn about the wetlands, and reduce the carbon footprint of the proposed building through sustainable systems such as passive solar heating, compartmentalized conditioned spaces, and daylighting.

Passive Heating | South-facing glazing, a trombe wall, and thermal mass temper the indoor environment
Contained Spaces | The learning lab, the classroom, and the exhibit space can be conditioned only when occupied.
Daylighting | Calculation of appropriate overhangs, building orientation, and depth of space
